A freedom fighter was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Kalkini Upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as freedom fighter Mamun-Or-Rashid, 70, resident of Kalkini upazila of Madaripur district.The accident occurred when Imran was going to the market on a motorcycle from home along with his friend and his motorcycle recklessly hit the freedom fighter Mamunr-Or- Rashid who was standing on the road near the Samityrhat Bazar, leaving freedom fighter dead on the spot and Imran Khan and Tofazzel Howlader were injured, OC of Kalkini police station Shamim Hossain said.
