Health Bondhu, a digital health platform, has offered free vision screening and treatment to 150 drivers of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) in the capital.
The services were offered at the BRTC Training Institute on Friday to mark World Sight Day 2022 which fell on Thursday (Oct 13).
In the first phase, vision awareness workshops were conducted for drivers, mechanics, officers and employees of the state-owned corporation and then vision tests and counseling services were provided.
The first phase of the event was presided over by Abu Awal, Deputy Manager of BRTC Training Institute, while Monirul Islam Monir, Chief Program Coordinator of Apex Bangladesh, an international voluntary organisation, was present as the chief guest.
