Rajpara thana police have rescued four trafficked school girls within three-day of their retreat from a house at Purbo Rajashan area under Savar of Dhaka during the early hours (1.15 AM) of Friday. Police also arrested a female trafficker from the same house during this time.
Rexcued school girls were identified as Tisha( 13) daughter of Rajon, a class V student, Arju Khatun(14) daughter of Shajamal, a student of class VIII, Shakila(14) daughter of Bablu, a student of class-VIII and Halima Khatun daughter of Badsha of Mohishbathan Uttar para area under Rajpara area of Rajshahi city. The arrested trafficker has been identified as Chandni(30) wife of Suruj Ali of Rajshahi Court Bulanpur area.
According to sources, those four girls came out of their houses on the way of their school on last July-26 (Tuesday) morning but did not return to their houses even during the evening. The guardians of those girl started to search them nearby but failed to detect them. At a stage of their seaching, local people informed the guardians that they watched those four girls going somewhere with Chandni through the northern gate of Mohisbathan colony of the area.
Later, the guardians went to the husband of Chandni who informed them Chandi might take those girls to Dhaka. The mobile phone of Chandi was also found switched off. The guardians of the girls apprehended Chandni might trafficked those four girls to Dhaka for engaging them in sex trade. The guardians filed a case with Rajpara thana in this connection.
Rajpara thana police informed, as per the complaints, police conducted a raid around 1-1 5 AM on Friday and rescued those four girls from a house at Purbo Rajashan area of Savar. The police also arrested Chandni from the same house. Chandni admitted to the police that she took those girls to Savar with an ulterior motive to engage them in sex trade. Legal action has been taken against the trafficker Chandni in this connection.
