Four secretaries pay tributes to Bangabandhu

Four secretaries paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday. 

They are Chairman (Secretary) of the Land Reform Board Yakub Ali Patwari, Secretary of Public Service Commission Mosammat Asiya Khatun, Secretary of Disaster Management and Relief Md. Mohsin and Secretary of Statistics and Information Management Muhammad Yamin Chowdhury. 

They paid their respects by laying wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu Mausoleum and offered special prayers and munajat. After the prayers, the secretaries wrote separate comments and signed the inspection book preserved at Bangabandhu Bhaban.

They prayed for the forgiveness of the soul of Bangabandhu, his family members dying on August 15, 1975 as well as for the well-being of the country and the nation at the time.

Gopalganj Additional District Magistrate Md. Iliashur Rahman, NDC Mintu Biswas, Kotalipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer SM. Mahafuzur Rahman, District Statistics Officer Rezaul Karim (Liton), District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Rekha Rani Haldar, Tungipara Upazila A-League General Secretary Md. Babul Sheikh and others were also present there.

Later in the afternoon, everyone took part in a view-exchange meeting held in the conference room of Gopalganj Circuit House under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana.
