Four policemen closed in Bogura

Four policemen of Sariakandi Police Station were closed to the district police lines for taking Tk 6,000 from a man in the name of checking, reports UNB. 

 The punitive action was taken against the policemen on Tuesday night after getting complaint from the victim. 

 Those who were closed are-Sub-inspector Jahangir Alam, assistant sub-inspector Amirul Islam, constable Khokon Chandra and constable Zahidul Islam. 

 Al Amin, officer-in-charge of Sariakandi Police Station, said the four policemen intercepted 

Choita, 25, son of Mostafizur Rahman of Gansarpara village in Sariakandi upazila and took Tk 6,000 from him after searching 

his body. 

 Later, Choita lodged a complaint with the Sariakandi Police  Station. 

Ali Ashraf Bhuiya, superintendent of District Police, said "All the policemen were closed and  action will be taken against those if they are found guilty after  investigation."
