The police recovered four hanging bodies of a man, his wife and their two daughters from Nabinagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Sohag, 33, his wife Jannatul, 22, and their two daughters Faria, 4, and Fahima, 2, residents of Bijoypara in Nabinagar Upazila.
The bodies were recovered from a house in Bijoyapara area under ward no.2 in Nabinagar municipal town on Sunday morning.
Mono Begum, mother of Jannatul, said her daughter and son-in-law went to sleep along with their kids after finishing dinner on Saturday night. However, when the couple did not wake up from sleep on Sunday morning, they called them again and again. Getting no response, they informed the police.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Nabinagar Circle Md Sherajul Islam confirmed the matter. He said that police reached the spot on information. They broke the door with the help from the locals and recovered the bodies.
He said the bodies were sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital for autopsy. The details about the case will be known later.
