Police have discovered the motorcycle thief gang in Kishoreganj. From different places of the district motorcycles were stolen and sold to Sylhet district. On December 30, unregistred Hero Glamor 125cc motorcycle was stolen in front of Prime Bank in Teripatti area in Kishoreganj town. The owner of the motorcycle named Zohir Alam searched for his venture for a long time, but could not recover the motorcycle.
Later, on January 25, 2020, a case was filed with Kishoreganj Model Police Station. A team led by Inspector Joynal Abedin was formed under the supervision of Additional Police Super Anirban Chowdhury, Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, under the direction of Police Super Masharukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) in connection with the ongoing motorcycle theft in the town.
Police recovered CC TV footage and used information technology to identify a thief and arrested him. His name is Abdul Matin, Son of Almash Mia, of village tengra, under Bishwanathpur upazila of Sylhet district. According to the information provided by Abdul Matin, Shakil, Rubel and Nurul Islam Nuru were arrested.
Additional Police Super Anirban Chowdhury, Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abu Bakar Siddique and Police Inspector Joynal Abedin told in a press conference at Kishoreganj Model Police Station yard on Sunday afternoon.
According to the press conference, the motorcycle thief gang rent a house on Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani Road in Ukilpara area in the town three months ago. According to the information five motorcycles were recovered. A case was filed with Kishoreganj Model Police Station in this regard.
