A joint security force has arrested four individuals with illegal drugs and weapons during an operation on Saturday night in Golakandail, Rupganj, Narayanganj.
Led by Major Shariful Islam, the raid targeted the suspects' homes, where they were apprehended in connection with drug trafficking and robbery cases.
The arrested are Md. Riaz Hossain (20), Sajib Mia (22), Delwar Hossain (55), and Sajjad Hossain (25), all residents of Golakandail Modhyopara.
Authorities recovered 6 litres of locally-made liquor, 2 iron rods (tetas), 1 knife, 2 machetes (ramda), 2 cleavers (da), 1 toy pistol, 1 spear (ballom), and 1 hammer. The suspects were handed over to Rupganj Police Station later that night.
Officer-in-Charge Tarikul Islam confirmed the arrests.
