Four deaths, 430 fresh Covid cases in 24 hours

Bangladesh reported four deaths and 430 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours till 8am on Sunday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The positivity rate was recorded at 7.04 percent after testing 6,105 samples across the country. The country reported four death and 446 new Covid cases in the previous day. The Coronavirus has claimed lives of 29,266 people and infected 20,017,750 so far in Bangladesh, according to the statement.

The recovery count rose to 19,35,963 after another 1,270 patients were discharged from the dedicated hospitals during the past one day. From the beginning of the pandemic, 96.71 percent Covid-19 patients recovered among the infected people while 1.46 percent died, the DGHS statistics showed.

Among the 29,266 fatalities, 12,881 occurred in Dhaka division, 5,879 in Chattogram, 2,146 in Rajshahi, 3,729 in Khulna, 987 in Barishal, 1,332 in Sylhet, 1,420 in Rangpur and 892 in Mymensingh divisions.
