The 51st founding anniversary of Awami Jubo League was observed in Joypurhat town on Saturday.
To mark the day, a colorful procession of District Unit Jubo League paraded different streets in the Town in the afternoon. President of District Unit, Awami League Arifur Rahman Rocket cut a cake at Awami League Office on the occasion.
AL General Secretary Jakir Hossain, Senior Vice President Advocate Nipendranath Mondol, Secretary of Mohila Awami League Sabina Chowdhury, convener of District Jubo League Dewan Milon and Joint Convener Mostofa Mehmud were present among others.
BSS from Naogaon adds: The 51st founding anniversary of Awami Jubo League, the youth wing of the ruling Awami League, was celebrated in the district Saturday in a befitting manner.
Bangladesh Awami Jubo League commonly known as Jubo League is the first youth organisation of Bangladesh founded by Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani under the direction of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through a youth convention at the Institution of Engineers on November 11, 1972.
The organisation was established with the aim of involving the youths in the struggle for a non-communal, democratic and exploitation-free Bangladesh.
