Former student leader distributes food items

Sheikh Mottahidur Rahman Shiru, a former student leader and an Awami League activist, stood by helpless, destitute and disabled people by delivering food to their houses under the government's directive amid the outbreak of deadly corona virus in Gopalganj.

In order to address the Corona crisis across the country, on the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he has voluntarily sided with the government in Gopalganj Sadar, Muksudpur, Kashiani, Kotalipara and Tungipara Upazilas with food items.

By delivering rice, pulses, potato, onion, oil, salt and soap while maintaining social distance and reaching the homes of the helpless, destitute and disabled on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina he has brightened the image of the traditional organization Awami League.

Undoubtedly, this initiative of his will inspire other leaders and workers of the country as well. People of Gopalganj praised and welcomed his initiative.
