Former state minister for finance and planning Major General (Retd.) Anwarul Kabir Talukdar died of coronavirus on Sunday at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka, his family said in a statement. He was 76.
He was the member of the parliament from Jamalpur-4 constituency during the BNP period between 2001 and 2006. He was also the nephew of former BNP secretary general Barrister Abdus Samad Talukder. He left behind his wife, three sons, one daughter and many admirers to mourn his death.
