Former nat’l kabaddi player Zakir passes away

Former national kabaddi player Md Zakir Hossain died of brain tumor at Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Hospital in the city in the early hours on Thursday. He was only 39.

Zakir left behind wife, a child and a number of well-wishers and admirers to mourn his death.

Zakir of Border Guard Bangladesh, who represented the Bangladesh national kabaddi team from 2014 to 2021, will be laid to rest at his village home in Kachua under Ashashuni Police Station of Satkhira.

BKF's president, its General Secretary and all official and employees expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Zakir. They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
