Former district BCL vice-president Nazmul Huda has been stabbed to death by terrorist Sobus forces for obstructing the spread of dominance in Karimganj. The incident took place at Kandail village in Joyka union of the upazila on Wednesday (May 4) morning.
The deceased was identified as Nazmul Huda, son of Majnu Miah of Joyka union under Karimganj upazila. Police have arrested a person named Dilu Mia involved in the incident.
According to local sources, the terrorists were involved in various criminal activities in the Haor. Former BCL leader Nazmul clashed on Tuesday for obstructing dominance. Prominent people of the area sat in the arbitration court in Kandail village on Wednesday morning.
At the end of the court, the terrorist Sabuj attacked with his forces and stabbed Nazmul in the back and then in the chest.
Karimganj Police Station OC Shamsul Alam Siddiqui said one person was arrested in the incident. Asked the name of the arrested, he said nothing can be said now.
