City Range and North Forest Department seized 2 dump trucks with soil while cutting hills in Faqirabazar area of Cox's Bazar's Eidgaon Phulchhari range and North Medhakachpia area. One person was arrested at the spot.
Cox's Bazar North Forest Department Divisional Officer Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter on Friday morning.
He said, on Wednesday afternoon, 1 dump truck filled with mountain sand was seized from Fakirabazar area of Phulchhari range and on Friday in the morning of Phulchhari range, 2 dump trucks filled with hill soil and 1 scavenger were seized in Medhakachpia Bt, North Medhakachpia area.
The campaign was led by range officer Moniruzzaman, Mehraj Uddin, Humayun Ahmed and others.
Later Phulchhari range was given custody of 3 dump trucks and 1 scavenger in Fasciakhali range. The departmental officer said that the case is under process.
