Leading online delivery service foodpanda in collaboration with country’s largest retail brand Shwapno have officially launched an on-demand grocery and medicine delivery service through its app in Bangladesh.
It presents customers an access to a range of daily lifestyle offers, including on-demand delivery service for groceries, daily essentials and medicine, easily delivered at their doorsteps.Customers will be able to get frozen food, dry food, fresh fruit, vegetables and daily household necessities like soap and shampoo.
Shwapno, the number one retail brand of the country is one of the partners of foodpanda's newest venture, along with numerous standalone local corner stores. With many people looking to avoid grocery shopping in an effort to fight the spread of COVID-19, and in compliance with the latest directive from the Bangladesh Government, foodpanda launched ‘pandamart’ so that customers can conveniently access any essentials they need from the comfort of their homes.
The new service that was piloted last week is made available on the already existing ‘foodpanda’ app in playstore. The service has started in major areas in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet and will be rolling out across the rest of the 25 cities that foodpanda is operational in the coming weeks.
According to Ambareen Reza, CEO foodpanda Bangladesh, “The nation needs to embrace delivery services now more than ever. Groceries and household items are the essentials that we need every day.” Sohel Tanvir Khan, Business Director for Shwapno said, “The critical thing right now is to ensure the protection of our customers and shoppers. Shwapno has always been about serving the community through our commitments in ensuring quality goods and great customer service."
