Cox's Bazar the busy tourist city of the country has turned into a solitary city due to corona virus spread in the country. As the city goes into lockdown, more than 300 restaurants and hotels have closed down. Therefore, the stray dogs of Cox's Bazar are facing severe food crisis.

Meanwhile, a group of humanitarian youths has started feeding these hungry dogs in the district. Cox's Bazar has more than 300 restaurants and hotels in the city and tourist areas to cater for the tourists. The leftover dishes of these restaurants were given to the dogs living near the beach and in the vicinity. These dogs were seen lying in the area for the lack of food, as the hotels are now closed.

Seeing the condition of these animals, Nazrul Islam, chairman of ‘Matir Bank’ took initiative to distribute food among these dogs. Some of his co-workers also joined with him.

Nazrul Islam said, "I felt very bad seeing the condition of these dogs. When some of my colleagues were informed about the matter, they agreed with me to give these dogs food. The dogs were then fed around the city and surrounding areas at night.

"We have been feeding these dogs for the past few days. I will always try to work for these animals as well as for the animals” said a team member of the group, Osman Ghani.

After giving food to the dogs on Thursday night, Nazrul Islam expressed his feelings on his Facebook wall. The members of this humanitarian team are providing various foods, including bread, for the dogs.
