Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Tanore Susanta Kumar Mahato inaugurated Paddy, Wheat and Rice procurement drive-2020 at Gollapara Government Food Storehouse premises at the upazila in Rajshahi on Sunday.
During receiving food grain from the farmers, UNO Susanta Kumar Mahato requested the farmers to supply food grain at the food-storages by maintaining its quality so that the grain quality remains good during the storage period.
The Paddy Procurement drive programme was attended, among others, by Tanore Upazila Agriculture Officer Shamimul Islam, Upazila Controller of Food Alaol Kabir, Gollapara Food Store Officer(OC-LSD) Tarequizzman and Upazila Sub Assistant Plant Protection Officer Altaf Hossain.
Tanore Upazila Controller of Food Alaol Kabir informed this year the 342 metric tonnes of Wheat will be procured at Taka 28 per kilogramme, 1,779 metric tonnes of Paddy will be procured at Taka 26 per kilogramme and 1,100 metric tonnes of Boiled rice and Sun-dried rice will be procured at Taka 38 and Taka 34 per kilogramme respectively. The Wheat procurement will continue till June-30 and Paddy and Rice Procurement will continue till August-31 this year.
