Food items were distributed among 550 distressed families in Digholia upazila of Khulna. Khulna Deputy Commissioner Md Helal Hossain on Wednesday distributed foods among those families. Khulna-4 MP Abdus Salam attended the programme via video conference.
To help out the distressed people in the upazila, 10 kilo of rice, 1 kilo lentil, haf litre of oil, 2 kilo poteto, 1 kilo onion, half kilo of suger, milk and sweet food items were distributed to each families.
Khulna Deputy Commissioner after inaugurating Bangabandhu Corner at the land office, distributed those items.
Later DC Helal Hossain went from one house to another to hand over food items among distressed families in the area. Under Asrayan Project, those food items were distributed.
Dugholia upazila parishad chairman Shekh Maruful Islam, Upazila Awami League general secretary Akram Hossain, Upazila Execute Officer Mahbubul Alam and other officials were present at the programme.
