For the first time, the country’s renowned music director Foad Nasser Babu composed the melody and music of puja song. And this song was sung by eight talented singers of that time. The song will be aired on BTV’s Puja program on the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja.
The song was written by lyricist Sumon Saha. The song features eight artistes who are Alok Kumar Sen, Champa Banik, Debolina Sur, Sandipan Das, Haimanti Rakshit Das, Apurbo Apu, Abanti Sithi and Monty Sinha.
Regarding the song, music director Foad Nasser Babu said, “I have often had to compose kirtan songs while working in films, but this is the first time Puja’s song has been composed by me. And it has only been possible with the collaboration of participating artistes. The words of the lyricist Sumon Saha have also been very inspiring. I hope everyone will like the song.”
Lyricist Sumon Saha said, “The song is written based on contemporary times. All over the world, injustice, oppression, violence against women is visible. It is as if there is only darkness. Goddess Durga has been awakened as a force and called to save the world with light. Talented music director Foad Nasser Babu has given a different dimension to the song. And the artists also sang the song with their heart.”
The song has been made for Puja special program ‘Sharod Anondo’ on Bangladesh Television. Apart from this show, the song will also be available on the internet.
