Fish Meal Preparation Machines have been donated to three Fishermen Cooperative Societies affected due to Coronavirus pandemic at Bagmara upazila through a function held at the Upazila premises on Wednesday morning.
The Fish Meal Preparation Machines were donated under National Agricultural Technology Programme, Phase-2.
Presided over by Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahadat Hossain, the function was attended, among others, by Bagmara Upazila Parishad Chairman Anil Kumar Sarker as the chief guest, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Bagmra Sharif Ahmed, Upazila Vice Chairman Asaduzzaman while Director of NATP, phase-2 SM Moniruzzmaan addressed the function through video conferencing.
Under the Programme, Fish Meal Preparation Machines worth Taka 11, 33,200 were handed over to three fishermen Cooperative Associations including Karotoa NATP fishermen Cooperative Society, Seuli NATP CIG Fishermen Cooperative Society and Josho Beel Fishermen Cooperative Society at the function. The machines will help increase the production of fish by serving the proper fish meal in the pond and water bodies.
