Flower farmers of the district are expected to rake in about Taka crore in the upcoming sales season, which begins with new year celebrations followed by Pahela Falgun, Valentine's Day and International Mother Language Day.
On the occasion of the day, flower shops in the district are full of flowers ahead of Pahela Falgun, Valentine's Day and the International Mother Language Day. Laxman Kumar Das, General Secretary of Bogura Flower Traders Association, expects that flowers worth Taka crore will be sold in the district on the occasion. The Two festivals and paying homage to the International Mother Language Day there will be a huge demand for flowers.
Youngsters have started flocking to flower shops on the occasion. Flower sales and purchases will increase from tomorrow morning due to Valentine's Day and Rituraj Basant. It will be continued until the evening, Saiful a flower seller said.
On the occasion of the Pahela Falgun and Valentine's Day, no one will miss to express love and wishes by handing at least one flower to the loved ones. Eye-catching flowers of various colors will attract young people.
