In the fight against corona virus, various medical and safety materials have been provided to five hospitals in the capital including Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, Mugda General Hospital and Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital on Sunday.
Among other hospitals, these materials were provided at the Combined Military Hospital, Armed Forces Medical College and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Navy handed over a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), masks, gloves, special safety glasses, thermometers for the doctors and nurses working in these hospitals and labs.
Doctors, nurses and health workers have been working relentlessly in various hospitals across the country to deal with the corona situation. The initiative was taken by the Navy to ensure their personal safety. As part of this initiative, various security items, including 1400 piece PPE, 5,600 piece mask, 4,300 set gloves, 700 piece special safety glasses, 5,000 piece suit protection dispensers, metal detectors, IR thermometers and polybags were provided to these hospitals in the capital, Navy sources informed.
It is to be noted that Navy is conducting various awareness programs, including spraying disinfectants, providing food and medical assistance among people at areas of Chattogram, Khulna and in the capital to fight the corona virus. In addition to tackling the situation, various relief items, including rice, pulses, are being delivered to the houses of local poor and helpless people.
