First year classes begin at CoU

The Cumilla University (CoU) authorities have started its first year Honours classes for 2020-21 academic session on Sunday keeping 9 per cent vacancies of its total seats.

However, the admission process will go on till March 30, confirmed CoU Registrar (in-charge) Professor Dr Md Abu Taher. He also said that though they started the classes, the admission process will continue on the seat vacancies.

“We won't continue the process (admission) whatever seat will remain vacant after March 30,” added the Registrar. A total 20 seats remained vacant at ‘A’ unit under Science faculty, 55 seats at ‘B’ unit under Arts, Social Science and Law faculties and 11 seats are vacant at ‘C’ unit under Business Administration despite publishing five merit lists. A total of 41 thousand 324 students have applied for enrolling the university after the unified admission test results published under 2020-21 academic session.
