The relationship between the popular actresses Deepa Khandakar, Tahmina Sultana Mou and Tanvin Sweety is quite familial.
But this is the first time that the three of them have stood in front of the camera together. They have acted in a special drama to be aired on Bangladesh Television on the special occasion of Victory Day. The name of the drama is ‘Megh Bhanga Rod’. Dr Enamul Haque wrote the story. Meanwhile, the shooting has ended at various locations including Uttara and BTV in the capital.
Regarding acting in the play, Sweety said, “The story of the play was written in the context of the time of independence and the present time. I have acted before in the story of Sir Enam. He wrote many stories. We have been able to easily portray our characters because of the feel of the story. And this is the first we acted together in a drama. That's why I enjoyed the work.”
Deepa Khandakar said, “My time with Sweety Apu and Mou is always a great time. Together, we have been shooting for the same drama with a lot of care and love. I have heard the story of the War of Liberation from Sir Enam before. This time he wrote this drama in light of the Liberation War. Hopefully, the drama will please the audience.”
Afroza Sultana has produced the drama. Also starring are SM Mohsin, Somu Chowdhury, Adnan Faruq Hillol, Sabbir Ahmed.
Meanwhile, a series of ‘Kaler Jatra’ directed by Tanvin Sweety starring Akram Khan is being aired on BTV. Deepa Khandakar and Tahmina Sultana Mou are acting regularly in Badrul Anam Soud’s 'Lukochuri Lukochuri Galpo’ drama series. The drama is also being aired on BTV.
