Director Atanu Ghosh has revealed the first look of his upcoming film, Binisutoy, on social media. He said that treatment and presentation wise, the film is completely different than his previous works and that’s why this one is very special to him. In the first look, actors Jaya Ahsan and Ritwick Chakraborty are seen sitting in a rickshaw.
With the last phase of post-production on, Atanu is now gearing up to showcase the seventh movie of his career at different festivals. The film will commercially release in a few months. Binisutoy is about how two strangers meet and try to find solace in each other’s story. “But their own stories take them much beyond their expectations. That leaves them intrigued, surprised and enlightened,” said the director, who has worked with Jaya Ahsan, Ritwik Chakraborty, Chandrayee Ghosh, Kaushik Sen, Kheya Chattopadhyay and Krishna Kishore Mukherjee in this movie.
Jaya Ahsan is not just acting but also debuting as a playback singer with this film. The music recording of the film is currently on and Jaya will be seen singing a Rabindrasangeet -- Sukher Majhe Tomay Dekhechi. Talking about his film’s music, National Award winning director Atanu said that the film has three songs, two of which are written and composed by music director Debojyoti Mishra, while one is a Rabindrasangeet. “The songs have been used as extension of dialogues. Along with the background score, the entire album of the film is experimental. We needed such an album to complement the storyline,” Atanu added.
