The Department of Fire Service and Civil Defence has opened monitoring cell at its headquarters for monitoring the flood situation and quick response in case of emergency situation.
The flood monitoring cell was opened on Thursday (August 10, 2023) following devastating flood in Chattogram region of the country.
The monitoring cell will assist regarding rescue work in flood affected areas in Chattogram region and other parts of the country.
People can contact Fire Service emergency helpline and contacts for seeking help.
The monitoring cell contacts are– hotline: 16163, telephone: 02-223355555 and cellphone: 01713-038181, said a press release of the emergency service agency.
The central control’s rooms regular contact numbers and divisional control rooms’ contact numbers are also available for seeking any help.
Brigadier General Md Main Uddin, Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence; said the Fire Service is a friend of people in all disasters.
