A fire broke out at a pesticide warehouse of Hekim Bangladesh Limited, a company located at BSCIC industrial area in Mymensing, on Friday.
A total of 11 units of Fire Service brought the fire under control after two hours of effort.
According to sources from Fire Service, Hekem Bangladesh Limited rented a warehouse of M Rahman Industrials, located at block A/3 in BSCIC industrial area. The fire started from that warehouse, which stored chemicals and various agricultural supplies. The fire began at 10:00am. A total of 11 fire service units from Mymensingh, Trishal, Muktagacha, and nearby areas were promptly deployed to control the flames. After two hours of concerted efforts, the fire was finally brought under control at 12:00pm.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, the Fire Service confirmed.
Motiar Rahman, Deputy Director of the Mymensingh Divisional Fire Service and Civil Defence, said, "11 units worked together to extinguish the fire. After a long effort, the fire was successfully brought under control."
