The fire which broke out at Sundarban Square Market in Gulistan area of the capital has been brought under control.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the market around 10 am.
On information, 11 firefighting units rushed to the spot and put the fire under control around 11:12 am, said said Talha Bin Jashim, an official of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (Media cell).
