Another Bangladeshi worker in Singapore has been infected with coronavirus or Covid-19.

Singapore Health Ministry on Saturday said the victim is a Bangladeshi ‘work-pass holder’, aged 26, taking the total number of Bangladeshis who contracted coronavirus in Singapore to five.

The victim has no recent travel history to China. He is linked to the cluster at Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site, it said.

Earlier, four more Bangladeshis were infected with virus in Singapore. The viral outbreak that began in China has so far infected more than 66,000 people globally and killed over 1,600 others, according to figures released early Saturday.

The World Health Organisation declared the virus a global public health emergency as it spreads to all continents of the world.
