It is said in the written statement that we are always working as a dedicated Awami League family of Nagarkanda and Saltha upazilas. Now during this difficult period for the party, we are facing various attacks and lawsuits.

My late husband is a heroic freedom fighter and has been the chairman of Talma Union for a long time. In that vein, my two sons Jamal Hossain and Kamal Hossain have been leading the Awami League in Nagarkanda and Saltha respectively.

Enraged at their popularity, Shahdab Akbar Labu and the infiltrators from BNP and Jamaat are attacking and harassing our freedom fighter family. For their life’s security, the Awami League workers with my two sons are now in hiding. Honourable Prime Minister, you are the only one who can save our lives now.

District council member Kamal Hossain Mia, Talma Awami League president Taibur Rahman, general secretary Siraj Khalifa, municipal Awami League general secretary Younus Sheikh, Sabbir Sardar besides a large number of leaders and activists from Nagarkanda and Saltha, journalists working in print and electronic media in Faridpur were present at the press conference.
