M Ali Newaz Khan, a valiant freedom fighter and former vice-president of Dhaka North City Unit Awami League (AL), died at a hospital in the city on Friday. He was 66, reports BSS.
He breathed his last around 9am today. Ali Newaz Khan left behind a son, two daughters, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Meanwhile, AL League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death Ali Newaz.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also condoled the demise of Ali Newaz.
In a separate message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
