Fewer visitors in Moulvibazar tourist spots this Eid vacation

There are no tourists in the tourist spots of Moulvibazar. The green tea gardens on the side of the road are empty. Not only the tea gardens, but there is no tourist traffic anywhere in the haor, waterfalls and lakes of the district. Tourism officials say that due to the flood in Sylhet and Sunamganj, fewer tourists have come to Moulvibazar this Eid holiday. 

Most of the hundreds of hotels-motels, resorts and cottages in the district are empty. Srimangal and Kamalganj are one of the tourist centers of Moulvibazar. Although there is no flood in these two upazilas, there is no expected presence of tourists since June 15. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, many booked hotel resorts in advance. He also canceled those bookings. Therefore, most of the resorts, hotels and motels here are lying empty. Tourism businessmen are going to face losses again. 

Director of Srimangal Nisarg Eco Cottage Samchul Islam said, "3-4 rooms have been booked. The rest are lying empty.''There is no tourist presence as expected Some of the tourist attractions in the district are- Srimangal Baikka Bill Hail Haor, Tea Gardens, Khasia Punji, Villages of Manipuri and Tripura, Wildlife Seva Foundation, Slaughterhouse 71, Shankar Tila Lake, Vauwra Lake, Jagchara Lake. , Phulchhra Garo Line Lake, Nimai Shibbari, Golf Ground, Harin Thirtha Place, Harin Rha Jhowban, Vidyabil Digestion Dune and Centenary Gorge at Naharpunji. Apart from this, there are Lauachhra National Park in Kamalganj, Madhavpur Lake, Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman Memorial in Dhalai Tea Garden, Khasia Palli, Hum Hum Waterfall etc. 

In front of the Lauchahra gate, businessman Dolowar Mia said, 'Tk 2500 was the business on Eid. 3 thousand taka the next day. During the previous Eid, 25-30 thousand taka were sold per day. This time there are no tourists on Eid-ul-Azha. Syed Rizvi and Soleman Hasib, senior tour guides of the district, said that there are no tourists in Srimangal due to Sylhet floods. Each hotel and resort accommodates guests in 4-5 rooms. Before the flood there were local and foreign tourists in the district. There has been a decline in tourism during Eid-ul-Azha. They also said, "On the afternoon of Eid, people of different ages from Habiganj and some other Sylhet Sadars were seen roaming around in various tourist spots. No tourists from far away or foreign tourists have come. 

Treasurer of Srimangal Tourism Service Organization and Chairman of Balishira Resort Shahidul Haque said, "10-12 rooms have been booked. The booking was not as expected. Shamsudoha, the manager of T-Resort under the control of the Tea Board, said, "There are no tourists since before Eid. Most of the bookings were canceled before Eid-ul-Azha. When asked why, he said, "Tourists don't just come to visit Srimangal. They stay at Srimangal, Sylhet Ratargul, Sadapata area sightseeing and stay overnight at Srimangal. This is because tourists have canceled their booking due to flood in Sylhet. There are guests in 10-12 bungalows in total. 

Mahmudul Islam, admin officer of Srimangal Grand Sultan T-Resort and Golf said, "There was no flood in Srimangal. Still we are not getting booking. Ten percent were not booked. Srimangal is a separate upazila. Tourists can come here during the monsoon season and observe the unfettered beauty of nature. Tourism businessmen are going to face losses. Moulvibazar Police Superintendent Mohammad Zakaria said, "Tourists can come here and travel comfortably. In addition to the tourist police, we have strengthened all kinds of security for the safety of tourists. Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Rajeev Ali Mithun said, "Whatever needs to be done by the businessmen related to tourism will be done at the government level to keep the tourism business strong." Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan said, "The district 2 tourist buses of district administration are running for tourists to visit various tourist spots.”
