National Film Award winning actor Ferdous Ahmed and journalist Ovi Moinuddin (Mohammad Moin Uddin) are former students of Dhaka University’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. On Monday, Ferdous Ahmed and Ovi Moinuddin (Mohammad Moin Uddin) were presented with special honors at the 20th conference organized by the Television Reports Association of Bangladesh (TRAB) in the capital's Shilpakala Academy.
Ferdous was honored for his outstanding contribution to film for more than two decades, and Ovi Moinuddin for his distinguished contribution to entertainment journalism for over two decades. Special guest at the event former student of Dhaka University’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh Central Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua presented the special honour to Ferdous Ahmed. Chief guest Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim handed over the special honour to Ovi Moinuddin at the ceremony.
