In a thrilling turn of events for cinema enthusiasts, popular actor Ferdous Ahmed has graced the silver screen in not just one, but two gripping productions.

While 'Mike', a film inspired by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's historic March 7 speech, has already hit theaters on August 11, the much-anticipated '1971: Shei Shob Din', directed by the talented Hridi Haq, is poised to captivate audiences starting August 18.

Ferdous Ahmed, a beacon of talent in the industry, is leaving no stone unturned as he dives into the promotional campaigns for both these cinematic marvels.

'Mike', a children's film that not only entertains but educates. Alongside Ferdous Ahmed, the film stars Tanveen Sweety, Tariq Anam Khan, and a constellation of other talents. The narrative threads of 'Mike' find their inspiration in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's powerful March 7 speech, an essential cornerstone of Bangladesh's independence movement.

In the words of Ferdous Ahmed, "This month of mourning, we bring 'Mike' Cinema into the theaters while it has great relevance. This movie has portrayed the post-seventies period, which was the Prohibition period. We and our next generation did not know that there was anyone called Bangabandhu. Sometimes I used to hear from my father about Bangabandhu. However, I would say that this generation is very lucky to know the true history of the country."

'1971: Shei Shob Din' is directed by the skillful Hridi Haq, this film transports viewers to the heart of a family's experiences during the tumultuous times of 1971. With a cast led by Hridi Haq herself, alongside eminent names like Mamunur Rashid, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Munmun Ahmed, Shilpi Sharkar Apu, and many others, the film paints a poignant portrayal of an era etched in the nation's memory.

Ferdous Ahmed commented, "Hridi Haq made the movie '1971: Shei Shob Din' with great passion based on his story. There has been a lot of interest among the audience in watching this movie. I have tried to give my best in both movies. And as an artist, I always try to fulfill the responsibility assigned to me. I am urging the audience to go to the hall and enjoy the two movies."
