She was identified as Ishrat Jahan Tusti, 27. She was a student of the English Department of Dhaka University. Inspector Md Bacchu Miah of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost confirmed it.

According to Ishrat’s classmate Safayet, Ishrat, along with another student, was staying in a house of the government staff quarters at Azimpur.

Quoting Ishrat’s roommate, he told that Ishrat was suffering cold-related problems. She was feeling unwell after getting drenched in the rain on Saturday.

She entered the bathroom on early on Sunday. Her roommate called emergency helpline 999 as Ishrat was not responding for a long time.
