A female physician died of dengue at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the early hours on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Almina Dewan Mishu, 32. She was a 39th BCS cadre officer. She was a 46th batch student of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH).
Almina Dewan Mishu was undergoing treatment at the DMCH intensive care unit since August 1.
She was earlier admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka with dengue infection on July 26. As her condition deteriorated, she was transferred to the DMCH.
She was buried at her ancestral graveyard in Bharatchandra High School in Narayanganj's Kanchan municipality.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has expressed deep shock at the death of Almina Dewan Mishu and expressed deepest condolence to the bereaved family.
The Directorate General of Health Services also expressed deep shock at her death.
