A female doctor has died in Chittagong due to corona. She died in the ICU of Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Irene Zaman, 34, of Chittagong Mother and Child Hospital. She is the wife of Dr. Moizzul Akbar Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary of BMA Chittagong and working at Mother and Child Hospital. Chittagong Medical College Hospital Deputy Director Aftabul Islam confirmed the matter.
BMA Chittagong general secretary Dr Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury said the mother and child were admitted to the hospital with fever in the last few days. Later there was diarrhea. The mother and child were brought to the ICU of Chittagong Medical College Hospital from the ICC a few days ago.
She died under treatment on Tuesday morning. She was a physician at the Mother and Child Hospital.
