The Faridpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) condemned the propaganda, ran against the president of the trade body, in social media and a newspapers recently.
In a statement on Tuesday, FCCI officials and businessmen expressed their concern over the fabricated news on the Dainik Bangla 71 newspaper against the FCCI President Siddiqur Rahman
“FCCI President Siddiqur Rahman is a renowned businessman in Faridpur. He is son of former municipal commissioner Sheikh Alauddin. Rahman has been continuing the family business for last two and half decade. FCCI is a business organization affiliated with Commerce Ministry,” read the statement signed by FCCI vice president Munir Hossain.
Rahman received membership of FCCI in 1998 and became director for two times, vice president for ones prior to leading the chamber as president.
He has been contributing to the national economy as one of the leading taxpayers in the district employing over3 hundreds of people in the area.
Business entity – Alauddin Trading also condemned on the similar issue.
