FBCCI will extend support to a BUET team for their invention ‘Oxyged’

FBCCI President MdJashimUddin has shown interest to provide financial and other necessary cooperation to a research team of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for their new invention named ‘Oxyged’.

‘Oxyged’ is said to be very effective to supply high flow of oxyzenfor Covid affected patients at ICU even without using any electricity at a very cheap cost. 

President of the apex trade body, the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), gave the hope when a five-member team of BUET, ledby Associate Professor Dr. TowfiqHasan visited him at FBCCI Icon, Matijheel in the capital on Thursday, said a press release.

Members of the research team briefed the FBCCI leaders in detail about the use of the new ‘Oxyged’.

They said that it will be used at Intensive Care Units (ICU) of hospitals to face the oxygen constraint.

The device will be possible to use by connecting easily with oxygen cylinder or medical oxygen. It will be able make a flow of upto 60 liters from 15 liter of oxygen by pulling air from outside through machine even without using any electricity. 

Associate Professor of BUET, Dr. TowfiqHasan said ‘Oxyzed’ will be very effective to supply high flow of oxygen for Covid affected patients without using any electricity at a very cheap cost.

FBCCI Vice President Amin Helaly, Directors Abu Naser, Chief Executive Officer of FBCCI, MahfuzulHaque and other officials concerned were present on the occasion.
