FBCCI is planning to establish an Institute for Economic Policy Planning and Design which will help in Economic Policy Planning and Design, said newly elected President of the apex body, Sheikh Fazle Fahim on Friday.
The President was addressing after the new office bearers paid homage at the Portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu memorial museum, Dhanmondi, Friday morning.
All the members of the newly elected board of Directors of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) were present on the occasion.
Senior Vice President Md. Muntakim Ashraf and Vice Presidents HasinaNewaaz, Dilip Kumar Agarwala, Md. SiddiqurRahman, Mir NizamUddin Ahmed and Nizamuddin Rajesh were present.
Directors of both Chamber and Association Group also joined the program.
After placing the wreaths, the newly elected President Sheikh F Fahim mentioned the future plans of the apex trade body before the reporters :
He said the newly planned Economic Institute of FBCCI will be partnered with Jacobs & Cordova, the global authority on policy planning and design.
He said FBCCI Arbitration center-is being set up for commercial ADR to help the businessmen to settle their disputes (domestic and international) with a vision to create a trade facilitation eco-system and to minimize cost and time period in dispute resolution.
Establishment of “FBCCI Institute for Technical Vocation Education and Training” to conduct demand driven skillset for a diversified economic human resource.
FBCCI International University will be established- with a emphasis on the delivery of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and creating a skill set for better addressing the interest of innovation and 4th industrial revolution necessary for our transitioning economy.
The FBCCI President Sheikh F Fahim also expressed his commitment to work together for the development of trade and industry of the country. The FBCCI Board will extend their effort for the advancement of the nation, he added
Later, the President, Senior Vice President , Vice Presidents and the Directors visited the Bangabandhu memorial museum . FBCCI President Sheikh F Fahim wrote his comments at the visitors book.
It may be mentioned that the office bearers of the apex trade body of the Country took their charge on 19 May for the term 2019-2021.
