Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Sheikh Fazle Fahim underscored the need for expanding trade ties with France for accelerating the development activities of Bangladesh.
“FBCCI is working to increase the trade relations with different countries across the world,” he said while meeting with Economic Counselor of France in Dhaka Pierre-Henry Lenfant at FBCCI in the city on Sunday, said a press release here on Monday, reports BSS.
He informed that FBCCI is going to establish the ‘Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institute’ for creating skilled manpower. He said France is one of the best trade partners of Bangladesh and the country is exporting different products, including RMG, leather and leather products, frozen fish, ceramic and medicine to the European countries.
The business apex body chief said Bangladesh is ready to welcome investors from France and investors from both countries can take the opportunity through expanding the trade ties. Among others, FBCCI Senior Vice President Md Muntakim Ashraf and Vice President Hasina Newaz were present on the occasion.
