Awami League former lawmaker Fazilatunnesa Bappy has been put on life support at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as her condition deteriorated after admission into the hospital on Saturday, reports BSS.
BSMMU Vice-chancellor Professor Kanak Kanti Barua told the media on Sunday. Fazilatunnesa Bappy was hospitalized on Saturday, as she was suffering from pneumonia and respiratory complications. Later, she was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as her condition deteriorated on Sunday morning. Bappy, a former ruling party lawmaker for reserved seats for women, also worked as a prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunals (ICT).
