A son was killed by his own “drug addicted” father at Dhormondol village under Nasirnagar upazila in Brahmanbaria on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Morsalin,10, a fifth grader student of Dhormondol government primary school. The arrestee identified as Mossahid Miah,34, hailed from Dhormondol village under Nasirnagar upazila in Brahmanbaria.
Police have arrested the killer's father, Mossahid Mia. The incident took place at Dharmandal village around 9am on Sunday. Morshalin Dharmandal is a Grade 5 student of Government Primary School.
Police and locals said that the murderer father escaped after cutting his son’s throat in Dharmandal village of the Nasirnagar upazila. Later, locals suspected the drug addict Mossahid Miah and handed over the police.
Nasirnagar police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Sajedur Rahman said the killer was intoxicated. He killed his boy to trap to the opponent. Mossahid was arrested. The body was sent to the Brahmanbaria District Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
