A father strangled his 7 years old son to death as well as tried to strangle his 9 years old daughter over a domestic quarrel with his wife in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj on Saturday night.
The murderer father is identified as Iman Ali and the deceased boy was identified as Enamul Islam Shakil.
Police recovered the body of the child from a residence at Lashkarpur Rail Colony on Sunday morning while the father had fled away. However, the mother Nurunnahar was able to save her daughter Kulsuma Khatun, 9, hearing her gagging sound.
