Father of a violated girl demanded punishment and proper trail of violator Mamun in a press conference held at Chuadanga press club on Tuesday.
Mintu Rahaman, father of the victim girl of Moktarpur village in Jibannagar upazila arranged the press conference to demand fair trail of accused Al Mamun, of Moktarpur village and an Assistant Teacher at Kultala Government Primary School in Jibannagar.
Mintu Rahman stated that, Mamun taught his daughters as a private tutor. His two daughters used to go to Mamun’s house for studying. On April 26 this year Mamun asked his elder daughter, who reads in Class Eight, to go in kitchen, where he violated her.
A case was filed with Jibannagar Police station on August 9 in this connection. Mamun appeared before court on August 16, prayed for bail but court did not allow it and sent him to jail. On August 19 he prayed to court for bail again and the court granted him the bail.
Mintu also said in his written statement that the accused violator Mamun is threatening the witnesses not to appear in court to give testimony. Mamun has been pressuring Mintu to withdraw the case in different ways, he added.
