A girl named Muslima Khatun (4) has been allegedly raped in Kanthalbaria village of Dibigram union in Chatmohar of Pabna. Muslima is the daughter of Masud Rana of Kanthalbaria village and a student of Kathalbaria Government Primary School.
The incident took place on Wednesday (June 15) afternoon. The father of Muslima lodged a complaint with the Pabna Sadar Police Station on the night of June 15. Chatmohar Police arrested the accused Nasir Uddin, 18, son of Feroze of Kanthalbaria village and sent him to jail.
According to the complaint, the accused Nasir Uddin took Masud Rana's infant daughter Muslima Khatun (4) to his house around 5:30 pm on June 15 and forcibly raped her and fled. Muslima went to her house crying in pain and informed her mother Roxana about the matter. Soon after, Muslima's relatives took her to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty sent Muslima to Pabna General Hospital for better treatment.
On Friday at noon, Muslima's father Masood Rana said, "My daughter is still groaning in pain in the hospital bed. I want a fair trial for this horrific incident.”
Officer-in-charge of Chatmohar Police Station Md. Jalal Uddin said that a case was registered in this regard on June 16 (Case No. 10). Accused Nasir Uddin has been arrested and handed over to the court. Further necessary legal action will be taken.
