The annual Urs marking the Holy 883rd Fateha-e-Yazdaham (death anniversary) of Bara Pir Hazrat Gawsul Azam Shaikh Syed Abdul Kader Zilani (RA) will be observed on the premises of Mia Saheb's Maidan Khankah Sharif at Luxmibazar in the old city of Dhaka today (Sunday) .
A discussion on the life and activities of Bara Pir Hazrat Gawsul Azam Shaikh Syed Abdul Kader Zilani (RA) will be held following a milad and doa mahfil to be organised after Magreb prayers on the occasion.
The programme will begin through recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Dr Haji Mohammad Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Faruq and Hafej Rahmotullah.
Ninth goddinashin Pir Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum), who is also the Mutwalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and Director of Mia Saheb's Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, will conduct the discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat.
Pesh Imam of Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid and other Islamic scholars will speak at the event. The milad mahfil will begin after the Isha prayers which will be conducted by Haji Syed Mohammad Barkatullah Badruddin while Khawja Mohammad Naquib will present Naat -E - Rasul (SM).
Later, tabarak will be distributed among the devotees by convener of the programme Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf.
Devotees are invited to attend the function, said a press release.
