The future education of 25 students has become uncertain due to the negligence of the headmaster in Ulipur, Kurigram. As a result, these SSC candidates are suffering from extreme anxiety. The victims have lodged a written complaint with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer seeking remedy of the incident. The incident took place at Khamar Bajra Dakshin Para Vocational Institute in the Upazila.

According to the complaint and victim sources, 31 students in two trades (computer and electric) are to take SSC (Vocational) examination in 2022 at Khamar Bajra Dakshin Para Vocational Institute in Bajra Union of the upazila.

They filled the form on May 16 as per the rules. Then on 24th May, they went to the school and find out that out of 31 candidates, 25 have not filled the form. When the matter became known, these examinees became extremely emotional. Later, when he asked the headmaster of the school, Mehedi Hasan, he refused. At one point, the headmaster confirmed that their form had not been filled. The aggrieved students and their parents lodged a written complaint with the Upazila Nibarhi Officer on May 26 without getting any solution.

Rifat Mia, a victim examinee, said, "I passed the ninth class with a score of 4.50." Headmaster has taken Tk.2000 from each of us to fill the form. But now I hear our form is not filled, we can not take the test. In this situation, not only me, but all of us deprived people are suffering from extreme anxiety.”

Some of the aggrieved candidates including Sumi Akhter of Computer Branch, Tauhida Khatun, Abu Musa of Electric Branch, Idul Mia said that we could not take the test due to negligence of the headmaster. When I told the head sir about the matter, he said I have nothing to do here. He threatened so many of our lives. These examinees want the opportunity to take the exam by seeking the kindness of the authorities.

However, Mehedi Hasan, headmaster of Khamar Bajra Dakshin Para Vocational Institute, denied the allegations, saying that each of them had failed more than three subjects in the ninth standard. So their form was not filled. He returned the money of many. The money of the candidates who did not come is in the school will be returned soon.

In this regard, Upazila Nibarhi Officer Bipul Kumar said, it is not desirable in any way. Arrangements will be made to give exams to these students with quick search.
