Legendary filmmaker and Dhaka-17 MP Akbar Hossain Pathan Faruk is in critical condition. The celebrated actor of Dhaka cinema, is being taken to Singapore on Sunday, September 13 for better treatment.

He has been suffering from depression for the last one month. He was admitted to United Hospital in the capital on August 18. He was thought to be suffering from corona. However, the result of the corona test has been negative after several samples. He returned home on August 28 after recovering from several days of treatment at the hospital.

He was later admitted to United Hospital again on August 31 due to his deteriorating condition. Even then, when he tested for corona, it comes out negative. Tests of typhoid, dengue and malaria were also done. The result of everything has been negative. But his fever did not subside to the growing anxiety of this actor.

His condition did not improve after several days of treatment at United Hospital. He was then transferred to Evercare Hospital (Apollo) on September 5. This information was confirmed by the hero Faruk himself. A board meeting of doctors was held at Evercare Hospital on Wednesday, September 9 to monitor Faruk’s condition. The doctor’s assume is that this actor is suffering from TB disease. However, doctors are still not sure about this. After doing some tests, the final result of the matter will be known.

However, Faruk said that these tests will be done at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. Permission has already been granted to go to Singapore for treatment. If all goes well, the legendary hero of Bengali cinema will fly to Singapore on Sunday, September 13.

Regarding this, Faruk told Bangladesh Post, “After a long time, I ate rice with satisfaction today. I am feeling a little better. At the board meeting, the doctors thought I had TB. However, they are still not sure. So next Sunday I will leave for Singapore for treatment. I will be treated at Mount Elizabeth Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Lai. I have taken treatment under his supervision before.”

Faruk asked for everyone’s blessings so that he can get well and come back quickly.
